Nourishing your spirit

Ministry specializing in pastoral care

Faith and fellowship provide hope and strength during every life stage. The Church Home ministry offers spiritual support and care for all residents of all faith traditions and beliefs.

The Church Home chaplains nurture relationships with Montgomery Place residents by participating in activities and maintaining a reassuring presence. They build rapport infused with goodwill and humor.

Following its Episcopal heritage, the Church Home celebrates traditions of all faiths through worship in the Chapel. It serves as a haven for meditation, devotion, and conversation.

Everyone faces life challenges. Those later in life often prove the most difficult because they feel so inevitable—loss of family and friends, illness, declining abilities, and finally one’s own death.

For Montgomery Place, the Church Home:

  • Provides grief counseling for residents and their families
  • Visits residents in their apartments and when they are hospitalized
  • Assists with crisis intervention
  • Conducts bereavement and aging support groups
  • Supports staff members in their role as caregivers
